About us

Greenwich Housing Society was established in the late 1950s as a provider of accommodation for people of pensionable age who have a connection with the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

We do not provide sheltered housing and applicants must be able to live independently. We have 17 one bedroom flats (6 being suitable for couples) on two sites in the Blackheath Standard area.

All flats are of good standard and are upgraded as required, with a major refurbishment having taken place in late 2015.

Public transport is widely available from both sites but for more information please look at the properties separately.

Our tenants benefit from access to communal gardens available at both locations and are within easy reach of shops in the Blackheath Standard area.

The Society is supported by a team of volunteers who also form the Management Committee. The Society is a member of the National Housing Federation and is registered and regulated by the Home and Communities Agency.
